Helau! Alaaf! - A Fasching's kitty's purr

It's Fasching, lovelies!

Also known as the fifth season or the most fun period in Germany. Imagine 5 consecutive days of Halloween (without the trick or treating part), costumes, and day and night drinking. I think this sums up Fasching in a nut shell.

Due to work and upcoming exams I couldn't participate in the festivities this year, but I dressed up nonetheless. I mean, who doesn't love to dress up?! Ready to see the costume I rocked at work?

Purr, purr, purr!

Helauuuuuuu!

Well, it had to be a very last minute look, because I didn't bother to buy a costume, knowing I couldn't be making it to any parties this year. Did you dress up? I'd love to see your costumes!

Ahhhh.... yellow is such a gorgeous color to use a pop of color. I swear by it. This outfit is simple, very tomboy-ish, yet girly at the same time. What I love about it most, is that you won't need a lot of items to put this together. They don't even have to be designer items at all. I just couldn't help myself after I saw the gorgeous Céline Bag :D

Gosh, can we just take a minute to process how amazingly beautiful this outfit is? This screams business meeting in the city like nothing else. It's fun, cool, and just sooo fashionista-like. I'm a huge fan of combining classy elements like an elegant blazer with some edgy counterparts like the studded flats by Giuseppe Zanotti. It totally makes this outfit pop.

This look also proves that it is super easy to combine "budget-pieces" with designer items and it still look well-put!

Would you rock this outfit? Do you like the color combo?

For the love of eye products

Hey sweeties,

today's post will be a little random but necessary nonetheless. I'm sure we all have those prodcuts, that you could fit into a specific category, but that simply don't want to categorize, because they're sooo special individually. Well, this is what this post will be about. So prepare for randomness and I hope you enjoy! :)

Eye Sorbet by Essence

I love, love, love this glittery, creamy eyeshadow so much. A lot of people complain that it is not pigmented enough, so it won't apply as a solid color, but rather a glitter effect onto the lid. That is exactly what I like about this product so much. It's perfect for a daytime "No Makeup" makeup look. Paired with the right primer, it won't crease and it will look amazing!

Isn't it just gorgeous?

Makeup Geek Pigment "Vegas Lights"

OMG, you guys! This pigment seriously gives me life! First of all, what I love most about pigments is that they're probably the smartest investment in the beauty department. Since a little goes a long way, you'll most likely never run out of your pigments. I've had this pigment for a little over a year now and it seems like nothing of the product has been used yet. I love it.

Make sure to check out Makeup Geek's website, because they have so many more colors! I know I'll definitely get more.

Maybelline Color Tattoo

I know!!! People have been raving about these cream eyeshadows for years now and rightfully so. I've owned three for a couple of years now and they're still amazing, creamy, and very usable. When I'm in a rush and don't really have time to work with powder eyeshadows, these are my saviors! But most of the time I just like to place them as a base, just like you would a Paint Pot by MAC, and then make the eyeshadow really pop. Either way, these are worth buying, because they will come in handy in so many occasions. GET THEM! :)

Well, do you own any of these products? What are your 3 random makeup love affairs? I'm soo curious, so let me know in the comments below!

My newest find: Makeup Revolution & I Heart Makeup

Alright, it's time to tell you all about my new favorite drugstore makeup brand. I just recently came across "Makeup Revolution" and their sub-brand "I Heart Makeup." OMG, I simply cannot put into words how amazing the quality of their products is.

Once you start browsing their products you will immediately notice that they like to make almost identical dupes to very popular high brand eyeshadow palettes, blushes, and lipsticks. So if you don't feel comfortable spending an arm and a leg on high end brands, Makeup Revolution is definitely for you.

This is my favorite look for Valentine's Day. It doesn't matter if you're having a romantic night with your love or if you're dragging your girlfriends to the next club to celebrate singledom. You simply can't go wrong with the classic black and the romantic rose gold combo.

This look is both effortless yet classy. It conveys the message that you're feeling good in your own skin and that you want to feel cute, sexy, and confident at the same. Grabbing cocktails at the newest hot spot in town? This is for you. Having a candlelight dinner at some fancy restaurant? This is for you. Dancing the night away in your sexy black heels? Again, this is for you. You see where I'm getting with this.

As far as the makeup and the jewerly are concerned, I think we have a great balance here. A dark black smokey eye paired with a nude lip and simple yet elegant rose gold jewelry accents.

Would you combine a strong black with the girl rose gold? Let me know in the comments below!
